Dr. Salma Sultana is a Veterinarian; first female entrepreneur in the veterinary sector in Bangladesh at the age 25. She dreams a poverty free and self-reliant Bangladesh. She founded a vocational training institute named “Model Livestock Institute Dhaka” which is affiliated by Bangladesh Technical Education Board in 2015. Along with the capacity-building program, she has established a veterinary hospital with laboratory diagnostic facilities for providing evidence-based animal health service. It is the first and only non-government animal health care center in Bangladesh till to the time. Dr. Sultana also founded a non-profitable organization named “Model Livestock Advancement Foundation” in 2016, which has registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860, and NGO Affairs Bureau, to execute women empowerment, youth employment, public awareness on zoonosis and antimicrobial resistance, food safety, herd health improvement, animal rights and carry out charitable program for the underprivileged people.

Dr. Sultana received Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2012 and MSc (Pharmacology) degrees in 2014 from the Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University and she have Clinical Training from Madras Veterinary College, India and Namakkal Vet. College & Research Institute, India.
